VOLUNTEER WITH US
The Fairview/South Granville Action Committee ("FSGAC") is an apolitical volunteer group of owners and renters in the Fairview and South Granville areas whose principal focus is to inform and educate residents about issues and municipal policies that affect the livability, affordability and civic services of our neighbourhood. We are actively recruiting new members to add to our team.

-
The FSGAC is a small group (varying from 2 to 6 members over the years), was established in 2018, and welcomes local newcomers to ensure we retain fresh perspectives.
-
Committee activities are voluntary and shared, matched to the availability, interests and skills of each member. Key tasks include research, writing and outreach, developing content for the newsletter, connecting with other neighbourhood groups to explore common links, communicating with politicians and bureaucrats, and watching for emerging issues. During election years we coordinate a popular candidates event. We share the tasks as they arise or as planned so no one person carries a heavier load, and we depend on individual members to show interest and take initiative.
-
We typically meet for about 1.5 -2 hours, every 6 or so weeks, as topics and needs arise, both by Zoom and in-person.

Would you consider joining us? We can coordinate a phone call for a brief exploratory chat to fill you in and answer any questions you may have. A few more people who care about our 'hood would be welcome additions to our team!
